DOONGALA PONY CLUB INC. SUMMER CAMP
Wednesday 4th, Thursday 5th and Friday 6th January 2017

The 3 day/2 night camp will be held at the Doongala Pony Club grounds.
There will be three lessons per day (flat/active riding, showjumping, cross country), a trail ride one evening depending on weather, free time activities. It is anticipated that there will be a maximum of 6 participants per group. Instructors will be Sam Cesnik (flat), Chris Height (showjumping), Amber Cargill (cross country).
Cost of the 3 day camp will be $230. Includes all meals from morning tea on Wednesday to afternoon tea on Friday. Participants need to be a current PCAV member, be at least 8 years old and able to ride independently (ie. walk, trot, canter).
Please be aware, we don’t ride at grounds when declared a Total Fire Ban Day. Dates and times may change due to weather forecast.
This camp will be conducted under PCAV rules which all participants must accept and comply with.
Gates will open at 7.30am on Wednesday 4th January, with gear check at 8.45am and first lesson at 9.00am. Each horse will be allocated a corral for the duration of the camp.
Participants who will attend secondary school or work in 2017 may choose to sleep in a tent/float in the designated camping area or in the club rooms. All primary school aged participants must sleep in the club rooms. Both areas will have adult supervision overnight.
Parents or guardians who wish to stay at camp or drop in during the day, and are not a designated helper, may purchase meals at $10each. Please however note that as per PCAV Bylaws Section 8 – you will be required to provide a copy of a current Working with Children Check (WWCC). A Meal Order Form will be sent out as prior notice of extra meals would be appreciated for catering purposes.
A deposit of $50 is required to secure a spot. Balance of $180 to be paid by 12th December, 2016.
Further information will be sent out regarding preparing your horse for camp and what to bring.

Must show their grading card to prove PCAV membership. Your pony club DC or instructor may be contacted to work out which group would be best suited to you and your pony. This camp will be conducted under PCAV rules which all participants must accept & comply to. PCAV approved helmets as per current gear rules & armbands are to be worn at all times when mounted The organizing committee reserves the right to cancel or change camp days; divide any class; alter times; refuse any entry with or without stating the reason. Participants must have a gear check before participating each day. No refunds will be given after closing date 12th December 2016. Neither Doongala Pony Club nor the organizing committee of this event accepts any responsibility whatsoever for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, ground spectators or any other person or property. Lunging at this camp must take place in the confined area designated exclusively for lunging by the organizing committee. All participants must complete a Bio security form before participating. No stallions, colts or rigs or horses under 4yrs old. PCAV alcohol policy applies No Dogs Allowed. Queries, protests, horse abuse rules as per the PCAV Handbook of By-Laws Doongala Pony Club grounds cannot be used on a Total Fire Ban Day Application and deposit of $50 should be received by the 18th November, 2016. Balance of $180 must be received by the closing date 12th December, 2016.
