Congratulations and a huge thank you to Mornington Peninsula Equine Landcare Group on raising funds to support a Queensland Horse Council Large Animal Rescue workshop on Saturday 12 November 2016. These funds allow us to offer the one-day workshop for only $75 per person, including a light lunch.

The workshop will be held at Main Ridge Hall, Main Creek Road, Main Ridge from 8.30 – 3.30 and not only will we use Lancefield Equestrian Group’s brand new rescue training mannequin and equipment, but Nicole Graham will also join us to tell you about her ordeal of being trapped in mud on Avalon Beach with her beloved Astro. Nic will describe her relief when emergency responders and vet arrived, their frustration when they realised they really didn’t know what to do and that they didn’t have appropriate equipment, how the tide was coming in fast and Astro was at risk of drowning, and how the rescue affected her and her horse physically and emotionally.

Please contact Gai Van Staveren 0418 517 713 or Alan Costello 0412 549 994 to book your place on this important workshop, and I very much look forward to seeing you there.
